For ministry in Vietnam we are working with Vision English Cafe. Where we go 4 nights a week to teach a topic for the students to discuss and practice English conversation. The topic I did was about family relationships. I’ve had the opportunity to meet so many people and hear about life in Vietnam. Families are very close here, but I notice that the kids are under a lot of pressure from their parents to preform well in school. Pray for freedom from performance in families.

We’ve also started to attend Vision church. I’ve felt the nearness of His presence in new ways. We also have gone to some of the events they’ve held: Christmas Gala and Culture Day at the university being some. Culture day was a lot of fun because we worked in teams to create dances, painted rice hats and cheraw dance. Then later got awarded for how well we did. I created some really great connections and also learned so much about their traditions. I got to eat the traditional food and wear their tradition dress. Also tried quail… it was surprisingly good.

Because there are laws in place against sharing the gospel, most of what we’ve been doing is building relationships with people. Some which have taken to the next level… let’s just say I got asked to be someone’s girlfriend. But nonetheless, I’ve seen God move in all lot of peoples lives. I wish I could spell half the names here, but to be honest, most of the names sound like the the sounds of letters.

Anyhow, because we have more time in the daytime, we will do ATL (ask the Lord). Where we’ve spent a lot of time interceding to begin with. But now that we know more people, we will sometimes hangout with the people from English Club. We have spent a lot of time in coffee shops having conversations with people. Pray that the Lord opens new doors and opens peoples heart to be receptive to the gospel!
