I am setting out to do the World Race Gap Year to continue my journey of making Jesus known.

Currently, I’m a senior at Erie High School in Colorado. My involvement in Young Life has grown my interest in outreach. I am also a leader for the middle school youth group, WildLyfe. My other interests include photography, hiking, kayaking and coffee drinking. However, my love for the Lord began when I was very young, and my faith became real after various hardships.

It all started when my dad was diagnosed with Huntington’s Disease. While the brain disease depleted his personality over the course of my life, his love for the Lord only grew. When I was 11 years old, my dad passed away. I remember not so much how he died, but more so how he lived.

He lived a life that reflected Christ. He managed to inspire me in every way because of his humility and that is something that will never die.

In the summer of 2021, my mom got remarried and we moved for the first time. Though I lost all that I knew, I started a new school, made new friends, got a new job and bought a car. The enormous changes in my life have led me to one conclusion: there is only one constant in this ever-changing world, and that is God. No matter the circumstance, God was, and still is faithful.

Therefore, I will also remain faithful to His calling on my life to reach the nations and bring glory to His name. The World Race is just the next step.
